Episode 15: The Haunted Asylum II: Mystery

In the second part of our Haunted Asylum Podcast, we explore the mysteries present in the active hauntings sensed by our hosts and others. We talk about what we mean by hauntings, what we think can cause hauntings and what is possibly is haunting The Ridges. We present our stories of the Ridges as well as stories from others, including an Athens native who had a memorable experience one dark and stormy night in a now demolished building at the Ridges.

We also include information gleaned from The Ohio Exploration Society’s investigations of the Ridges between 2003-2005, Follow the link to hear the EVP’s they recorded and see the photographs of the interior where they investigated.

As always, if you have any comments or thoughts about our podcast, or have a story about The Ridges or any other place in Athens, or just want to talk with us about paranormal experiences from elsewhere in the world, please send us an email at 6djk67@gmail.com.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be recording an episode on the history and mystery of the 55 cemeteries in Athens, the many burial mounds that are around the city and county and the many ghosts that haunt the town’s cemeteries and houses. If you want your story featured on the show send an email to the address above. Your privacy is assured, we will only publish your real name if you ask us to. Thank you, and we hope you enjoy the episode.
