Episode 90: Understanding the Mind of Gaia with David Perkins
Hey, y’all!
We return to the topic of Gaia as a conscious entity who perhaps converses and interacts with humanity through paranormal experiences. This time, Morganna and I are joined by David Perkins, who has been researching the gamut of paranormal phenomena, but especially cattle mutilation for decades. He has some really good ideas as to why James Lovelock’s Gaia Hypothesis is important not only to our understanding of the paranormal, but also our understanding of consciousness in every form.
It’s not all cattle mutilations, but really, it’s a deep dive into the idea of Gaian Consciousness and the Trickster and what these natural forces are up to when they manifest such disturbing, strange phenomena as cattle mutilations. What does it all mean?
We had great fun talking with David—and will have him back again in the future, because there were so many things we could have talked about when it came to cattle mutilations that we never did get to. Symbolism, the future of meat eating, why Americans love beef so much, and on and on and on.
As always, here’s a list of the books mentioned in this episode.
Gaia: A New Look at Life on Earth by James Lovelock
Homage to Gaia: The Life of an Independent Scientist by James Lovelock (His autobiography)
The Eighth Tower by John Keel
Stalking the Herd by Christopher O’Brian
The Trickster and the Paranormal by George Hanson
