Episode 17: Table Talk with Jazz

Another lifelong experiencer of the paranormal, Jazz, visits with Morganna and Barbara and tells some of their stories.

Jazz has lived in Athens for many years and most of the stories they tell in this episode are centered in this very strange small college town. One of the stories involves a vision they experienced at The Ridges, which is the old state mental health hospital. The visuals they experienced were upsetting, but as we did this interview before we had done extensive research on the history of the site, we couldn’t tell whether what they experienced could be based in something that happened or if it was metaphorical.

After having done the research, we believe that what Jazz experienced was a genuine experience for them, but what it refers to is still a mystery. None of the three hosts in their research could find corroborative evidence of what Jazz saw and felt. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean we disbelieve what they experienced. The amount of fear, sorrow and misery experienced at that site over time, as it housed mentally ill people, people with tuberculosis and epilepsy, some of them children, is profound, so even if the exact vision as described by Jazz may not have occurred physically, it could easily reflect the emotions experienced by others long ago.

We just do not know what the meaning of that vision is.
