Episode 18: Into the Liminal with Joshua Cutchin
I know. This is a long episode. But the conversation is so good, I just couldn’t cut any of it.
What did we talk about, you ask? Well, to tell you the truth, we were supposed to talk about Where the Footprints End Volume 2, and we did, a little bit. Not a lot, but a little bit.
Mostly, Morganna, Josh and I just had a verbal jam session, riffing on Bigfoot, folklore, modern fairy novels …..(LOTS of them!—I’m putting the titles of most of them here in the notes down there at the end—I may have forgotten one or two, and for that I am sorry. Just listen closely….)
…And Wendigo, the Wild Hunt, tricksters, The Trickster, Animal People, the Underworld, death, pareidolia, UFO’s, Coyote, the nature of reality, the re-enchantment of the world…..and on, and on. All the liminal goodness your betwixt and between hearts could want!
If the subject is liminal, we touched on it. Sometimes, we delved deeply on it.
I promise, it isn’t boring.
There’s also new music at the end from Zak Kramer, our “Fifth Guy,” sound man and tech wizard.

War for the Oaks by Emma Bull
Some Kind of Fairy Tale by Graham Joyce
The Facts of Life by Graham Joyce (not a fairy story, BUT a great modern fantasy story full of paranormal goodness)
Someplace to be Flying by Charles de Lint
The Wood Wife by Terri Windling
The Good People by Patrick Harpur
Dead But Dreaming by Neil Rushton (we didn’t talk about it, but should have….)
