I love it when listeners contact us with their stories. I love it even more when they want to come on the show and tell our listeners their stories as well.

That’s what happened with Phil Rossi. He’s an author of bestselling fiction, musician, voice actor and longtime podcaster and he’s had run ins with the paranormal since childhood. He’s been podcasting his fiction over a decade, initially releasing his first novel, Crescent, a science-fiction horror story, as a podcast. Recently, Phil branched out into the realm of paranormal podcasting with the “Don’t Turn Around” podcast.

He’s been listening to our podcast almost from its inception and he reached out a while back to tell us some of his experiences.

Then, after Kendra and Barbara did The Party Crashers episode wherein we forgot to invite the local Good Folk to our graduation party, so they showed up anyway and stole the beer (it’s more complicated than that, but looking back on that night from a twenty-something year distance—that is the essence of it), he emailed describing a strange experience he had while listening to that episode.

Of course, we had to have him come on the show.

And boy are we glad we did.

Phil’s a great storyteller, with a lovely sense of humor and irony, and his experiences range from nightmarish to poignant. His recent investigations of the crash site of the TWA Flight 514 is interesting and contains a personal synch, as well as showcasing the calm, respectful methods of paranormal investigation I personally admire.

We even had a little synch happen while we recorded the show as he was telling us “one more story.” (And there was another story after that, because we were having so much fun we didn’t want the recording to end.)

Thank you for listening!
