This episode features Kendra and Barbara telling a story that has been touched upon on other episodes and in other podcasts, but has never been fully told.

Until now.

May 1994.

It all started as a simple, normal graduation party; a celebration for Kendra, Dave and Barbara, who had all finally finished their BA’s at Ohio University. It was just a good double handful of friends, home made Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Beef, Peas and Rice, Red Stripe Beer, and Bob Marley music. (Recipes below. I used to be a chef and write a food blog….)

There was dancing. There was singing. Zak and Dave took turns playing with Bob. There was laughter and there was drinking.

It was so chill. So very, very relaxed.

So relaxed that really, only Kendra and I were drinking. And so, the pair of us were the only two who got a reasonable buzz going, by making sure each time one of us cruised past the other, that there was. a beer in hand and it was being imbibed. We’d look at each other and grin and say, “Drink,” and then take a good swig together.

So much fun.

And then, the Party Crashers came.

And the buzz left.

Who were the Party Crashers?

Listen and find out.
