Episode 72: And Now For Something Completely Different With Seriah

There’s a story to the episode art for this week. This image was originally an art journal page that was layered graffiti of the two questions that two of the advanced alien races in Babylon 5, the Vorlons and the Shadows ask members of younger races. “Who are you?” and “What do you want?” are two questions it behooves us all to answer. Anyway, I took photo of the original art, ran it through WOMBO with the prompt: “Seeing Yourself.”

And this came out. I loved it, so here we are.

Ok, so there’s a story to this episode.

When Morganna and I talked with Seriah back in July, we were having so much fun we talked for about three and a half hours. So, I cut the discussion in half—right about where we started thoroughly geeking out over the 1990’s TV SF epic, Babylon 5.

I always intended to release the other half as a show, but never knew where I wanted to put it, because it wanders so far afield from our usual paranormal topics.

And then I thought of April Fool’s Day, and so now, here it is, and here we are.

We start out on Bab 5—and then dash off into the paranormal and the Other—both of which are amply represented in that show (which if you haven’t watched it, you should) and then go galumphing off onto life, the Universe and everything. And back to the paranormal again. Back and forth, forth and back.

It is so much fun. We had a blast with Seriah, and are happy to finally present the other half of the recording.

Maybe we should do a panel discussion on SF and The Other.
