Episode 58: Kindling the Solstice Fire with Susan Demeter and Kiki Dombrowski

Happy Yule, y’all!

This week brings us the Winter Solstice—the longest night—and thus shortest day. After this day, the light starts returning to us in the Northern Hemisphere, and the days slowly become longer again. Winter is a time to pause and reflect, to plan for the future and work on indoor projects. Reading, meditating, making art—all of these are great pursuits for the winter season.

This episode brings together three Witches to talk about the Solstice, the winter season, divination. Tarot, books, writing, UFOs, black cats and creativity. I (Barbara) hosted Susan Demeter and Kiki Dombrowski, and we had so much fun, we agreed to record episodes for every equinox and solstice in the coming year. So look for our next episode on the Spring Equinox!

We talked about our projects, lives, and how we celebrate the Winter Solstice. Kikki shares a recent UFO sighting, Susan talks about the UFOology Tarot and Barbara talks about her art process. There’s something for everyone here!

Welcome to the light, and may you all be blessed this winter. Stay warm, healthy and happy.
